Research on Information Sciences in Cuba: Flows of knowledge during the period 2005-2019

Objective. To characterize the Cuban research on Information Sciences, and to analyze flows of knowledge between its intellectual base fronts influenced by researchers.
 Design/Methodology/Approach. The subject category “Information Science Library Science” from Web Science, during period 2005-2019, was studied. determined author co-citation analysis. Citing articles authors were analyzed bibliographic coupling term co-occurrence techniques. A documental analysis bibliometric studies discipline in Cuba developed.
 Results/Discussion. diversification topics discussed overtime verified, which have been correspondence with social needs. sustained increase scientific production observed, based collaboration intense postgraduate training. greater number journals used disseminate results, cited multiple areas.
